Winnie Lam  is a seasoned communications professional with 30 years of experience in corporate communications, media relations and public affairs, digital marketing and social media, lobbying and stakeholders’ engagement. Her expertise spans various sectors, including higher education, healthcare and pharmaceuticals, technology and innovation, arts and culture, and public utilities.

In the higher education sector, Winnie has held significant roles that have greatly enhanced institutional profiles. As the Director of Communication and Public Relations at Hong Kong Baptist University (HKBU), her leadership in creative publicity and digital marketing enabled the university to consistently rank at the top for views and engagement on social media within the higher education sector.

In her role as Division Head (Public Affairs) of Hong Kong Polytechnic University (PolyU), she enabled PolyU’s brand presence to increase by leaps and bounds, resulting in exponential increase in research collaboration opportunities. At The University of Hong Kong Li Ka Shing Faculty of Medicine, she enhanced the university’s profile through targeted media outreach and health awareness campaigns.

Beyond academia, Winnie has worked in both corporate settings such as the MTR Corporation, and PR consultancies including AWTC (Lo & Lam) Consultancies Limited and A-World Consulting Limited, where she focused on comprehensive communications strategies, lobbying and stakeholder relations management, advocacy campaigns and public affairs. Her strategic approach has consistently driven success across diverse sectors, resulting in increased community support for the organisations’ causes.   

Winnie gained her BA degree and M. Phil. degree from the University of Hong Kong, majoring in History and public policies.
